Special Order started in my living room in 2009. We didn't need a groovy office or funky retro-hip furniture. Our priority was doing the most amazing work possible no matter how challenging the project. It's been a few years and we no longer work in my living room. And, I have to admit we do have a groovy office now. But that's because we've grown too large for a living room...
David has produced television series for Bravo, TLC, National Geographic, MTV and pilots for several more. He has also produced and directed spots for the National Institute for Drug Abuse, California Lottery and online series for New York Times and Time.com. He produced Lost Lake, Special Order Film’s first feature, now distributed internationally with Gravitas Ventures, High Flier and Event Film.
Erin Heidenreich directs, writes and produces award-winning documentaries, short films, commercials, and feature films. Her voice has been shaped by the cultures she has immersed herself in across the globe and uses the camera to see the unseen. Her passion for iconic stories flows into many forms: In 2014, directing documentaries in the Democratic Republic of the Congo for RISING SONS, in the Tribal Areas of Pakistan for THE WAR TO BE HER, and narrative work including THE STORIES WE TELL OURSELVES. In 2013, she 2nd Unit directed for Emmy-Award winning Doug Pray's latest documentary LEVITATED MASS (LAFF 2013), Executive Produced THE OTHER SHORE (SXSW 2013), Produced MISSION CONGO (TIFF 2013), and she also Executive Produced the Award-Winning MADE IN INDIA.
Erin has represented over 10 Oscar winning/nominated films as one of the co-founders of Cinetic Media. Francisco Garcia Nava
With a background in postproduction and media theory, Francisco brings intelligence and creativity to every project for Special Order. HIs technical and analytical skills and attention to detail never cease to amaze. Francisco’s involvement in every aspect of a production raises the bar for excellence time after time. Note: Francisco did not write this bio. I wrote it. He is also modest and would never write these kinds of things about himself.
Francisco served as technical instructor under veteran award-winning filmmaker and UCB professor Loni Ding for 3 years - leading instruction in video editing and post-production to undergraduate and graduate students in the Ethnic Studies Department's Digital Filmmaking and Media Intervention course. He also teaches digital filmmaking courses to youth in the Northeast San Fernando Valley communities of Pacoima and Arleta, where he grew up.

Aaron is a filmmaker who has lived and worked in Hollywood, Bollywood, Nollywood, Hillywood and Beijing, making award-winning documentaries (Viva Cuba Libre, Here is Always Somewhere Else), music videos, commercials and art world oddities. He has created projects for TED, The Discovery Channel, PBS, VPRO, DFA Records, Asthmatic Kitty Records, Maybe Mars Records, worked extensively with the United Nations and launched social justice campaigns featuring Kanye West and Rainn Wilson.

Matthias has been shooting movies since the age of 12, when he bought his first video camera. He made short films throughout his childhood and finally received his MFA in filmmaking from the Ohio University School of Film, where he also taught undergraduate film production.
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2001, he has shot 26 feature films of varying genres. In 2011, he received the Best Cinematography Award for a horror/comedy, "The Selling", at the Amsterdam Film Festival.
Most recently, Matthias returned from Afghanistan, where he shot “Afghanistan Rising”, a documentary on the Afghan National Army (ANA) for Academy Award Nominated director, Sam French. The Film shows the army's strength and independence as the coalition forces prepare to pull out in 2014. His work has also brought him to Ethiopia, England, Ukraine, Russia, Iceland, Armenia and more.
Asako has edited numerous shorts and feature films, commercials, and documentaries, including "American Masters - Mel Brooks: Make a Noise" for which she was Emmy nominated.
